What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a specialised injectable hyaluronic acid which is administered under the skin to dramatically improve skin quality and laxity.
Although it is intensely hydrating, it also triggers a response known as bioremodelling, to smooth and tighten skin from within. Bioremodelling stimulates production of elastin and collagen for a bouncy, glowy complexion whilst tackling thin, crepey skin prone to wrinkling and sagging.
What makes Profhilo unique?
Profhilo contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid of any injectable treatment. Because it is thermally bonded, where dermal fillers are chemically compounded, it doesn’t remain as a hard gel but instead spreads out, naturally gathering water molecules where they’re most needed. This creates a huge hydration boost.
The specially formulated, ultra-pure serum is injected into skin tissue, restoring levels of hyaluronic acid previously found within the skin and replenishing the skin’s lost collagen, visibly restoring a youthful appearance.
How does Profhilo differ compared with dermal fillers and Botulinum Anti-wrinkle injections?
Profhilo targets the skin only, enhancing skin quality, where Botulinum Anti-wrinkle Injections target the muscle movement behind wrinkles, and fillers can be used to fill specific lines or restore lost volume.
Both Profhilo and fillers are made from hyaluronic acid and are injected into skin tissue, but that’s where the similarities end. Fillers are made from a thick hyaluronic acid which can restore volume and definition, whereas the consistency of Profhilo is runnier and targeted differently, applied just under the skin rather than in the deeper layers.
Profhilo is not a substitute for Botulinum Anti-wrinkle Injections or dermal fillers – in fact optimal results can be seen when these treatments are combined.
Who is Profhilo best suited to?
Profhilo treatment is suitable for patients of all ages – but anyone over 30 and above can benefit from its moisturising and plumping properties.

What can I expect from Profhilo treatment?
Profhilo is a two-part treatment, so results can be seen within 30 days of your first session, but full results will be noticeable within 30 days of your second appointment. Profhilo continues to encourage fresh collagen production for a number of months after treatment, resulting in a longer lasting effect.
