Nucleofill vs Prohfilo – which is best for me?
There are so many more minimally-invasive rejuvenating treatments emerging now – which is great news for anyone looking to enhance their appearance in a more natural way. But whilst having more choice has lots of advantages, it can also make selecting the right treatment for you more challenging.
Where in previous years the most popular treatments could be divided between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers, now a new wave of injectables are becoming available which incorporate intelligent biotechnology to enhance and rejuvenate skin from within. This ‘inside out’ approach works on a cellular level, resulting in remarkable and lasting results without painful procedures or downtime.
Today we’re comparing two very different treatments which offer similar results which can make choosing between them confusing – Nucleofill and Prohfilo. In this blog we’ll share the benefits and definitions of each to consider to help you to decide which treatment may be best suited to you.
What are Nucleofill and Prohfilo, and how are they different to fillers?
Rather than simply adding volume, treatments like Nucleofill and Prohfilo actively improve the condition of your skin from within. They address a variety of key concerns at the same time, such as dehydration, loss of elasticity and volume, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and lacking radiance.
Both Nucleofill and Prohfilo are comprised of soft, gel-like substances which are injected beneath the skin either at specific sites or at several points for targeted results or overall rejuvenation. But each contains completely different ingredients and works within the skin in a different way to achieve a refreshed and more youthful appearance.
What is Nucleofill?
Nucleofill is a cutting-edge new treatment which uses biostimulators called poly-nucleotides, which are molecule fragments naturally found within our DNA. When injected into the skin, these molecules actively improve the health and appearance of skin in three ways – infusing deep and lasting moisture, providing potent detoxification and supporting at a cellular level to firm and thicken the skin whilst boosting collagen and elastin production. Nucleofill is predominantly an anti-ageing treatment, but it’s suitable for all ages and skin types. It’s also completely natural and allergen-free which makes it a good choice for those with sensitive skin.

What is Prohfilo?
Prohfilo experienced increased popularity last year, when it became a firm favourite amongst influencers and celebrities. Using high volumes of hyaluronic acid (HA) it offers an instant plumping effect, brightening skin with a lasting radiant glow and fresh appearance. This also diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and boosts skin’s natural dewiness.

Nucleofill vs Prohfilo – what’s the difference?
As it is comprised of pure hyaluronic acid in high quantities Prohfilo is categorised as an injectable moisturiser, which intensely hydrates the skin whilst boosting collagen and elastin production. Meanwhile Nucleofill is a bioactive compound which works on a cellular level to hydrate whilst also boosting skin quality, firmness and thickness, detoxifying for long-lasting results. The results you can expect to achieve can sometimes be similar, but Nucleofill is particularly beneficial for mature skin and those concerned with the effects of dehydration.
Which treatment is right for me?
Your decision ultimately depends on your unique concerns and treatment goals. When considering different treatments, first take some time to think about your specific areas of concern. Which areas are you looking to improve, and how? What results do you want to achieve overall? Do you have any additional requirements, such as minimal downtime or aftercare? Do you have sensitive skin?
To recap, Prohfilo is intensely hydrating and imparts a beautiful, radiant glow from within. Nucleofill is more suited to addressing a variety of concerns such as crepe-y skin beneath the eyes, loss of volume and elasticity, and wrinkles. Both are excellent treatments which offer remarkable results – and they can even be used together to amplify the anti-ageing and brightening effects.
